How To Declutter Your Home (One Word At A Time)

Spread the love

Most of us work really hard to keep things running smoothly in our lives.

We make schedules. We plan ahead (when we can ;). We put systems in place.

And we try our best to eliminate things that we really don’t need.

But it’s a constant battle. Before we can get stuff out, more comes in.

Do you know that one reason we can’t get stuff out fast enough is because we don’t take the time to make decisions?

Sometimes a decision takes just seconds, like: Does this catalog go to the recycling or to the coffee table?

Other times decisions take longer, like: Will I wear this, does it still fit me and how do I feel in it?

It doesn’t matter if it takes a few seconds or a few minutes, if you don’t take the time to make those decisions – clutter piles up.

In today’s episode of MriduTV,  you’ll learn a simple change in your language that will help you make decisions – all the time. And that means, you’ll get rid of that ever-increasing clutter all the time too.

Once you’ve watched, I’d looove to hear from you.

  • How will you change your language to help you make decisions?
  • What area will start in first?

Please don’t be shy and join me in the comment box.I can’t tell you how inspiring your comments are to others.

As always, thank you so much for your support. I so appreciate you and can’t wait to “see” you again next week.

Thanks so much Lauren! Glad you enjoyed it. 🙂 xo, mridu

This is so true. I need to stop with the “maybe” or saving it for ” Justin Case “.

Mridu

Terry, do you know I literally was going to use “Justin Case” in this video…and then decided to save it for another one?!! LOL!! We are soooo connected! :))) love you! mridu

Diane

I love this video because all four of your examples apply directly to me…holding onto clothes that no longer fit, making things and having supplies for maybe someday,” gleaning LOTS of recipes that I will maybe make someday and saving my notebooks full of notes to do something with…maybe someday. Maybe I should stop saying maybe and become more conscious about saying it!

Also, Mridu, that color on you is one of the prettiest colors I’ve seen you wear in your videos! You always look great, but you look especially radiant in that color and there’s no maybe about it!!!

Mridu

Funny thing is Diane, I used those 4 examples because they all apply to ME! 😉 I think most of us have a hard time with these types of things, but I agree, just being conscious of what we think/say about them, will really help.
And thank you for the FABULOUS compliment. You SOOO made my day! Big hugs and kisses, mridu
