How To Say Good-Bye To Clothes Clutter

Spread the love

This week I shot a bunch of new videos at my makeshift office/studio.

And when my awesome videographer, Will, arrived, I was rearranging furniture and moving paper piles from my desk to make room for my props. (Cuz you know I’ve got a lot of those. 😉

And when we were done and I was taking back my piles of paper, I started laughing – because I’d missed using the very tip I talk about in today’s video.

No, it’s not about not moving piles from one place to another (but watch out for that one in the future).

It’s about taking a new perspective on your piles.

Doesn’t it matter if you have a pile of clothes, a pile of towels or a pile of papers. There’s a really easy way to know which items you don’t need.

So I used the tip on my piles and wouldn’t you know it?

I quickly found a bunch of papers that had been lingering around for a long time, and quite frankly, there was just no need for me to keep ’em. So in the recycling they went.

Okay, so this will make a lot more sense after you watch today’s vid. And when you’re done watching here’s what I’d LOVE to know from you:

  • Which pile are you going to attack first?

Answering that question will help you take action, so puh-lease take 30 seconds to motivate yourself and others by joining in on the comments.

And remember, your lingering stuff can really help someone else in need. So here’s to donating, my sweet friend!

Xoxo,

You certainly do a nice job with your helpful videos. Looking at the bottom of the pile is such a good idea! Thanks. I think we do this with shoes too. Maybe I can wear them for short periods of time if they’re too tight for instance! Hahaha!

Thanks for your kind words Dal. And so glad you found this tip helpful. It’s really helped me out too. xo, mridu

This works! I went into my closet and took eight oxford style shirts off their hangers, folded them up and now they have joined the Goodwill bag. Thanks for this and all of your Wednesday tips. You have been the best motivator as I continue to downsize and prepare for life in a smaller home!

Fantastic Karen! What a great feeling! And I so appreciate all your support. 🙂 xo, mridu

I really am looking at my wardrobe and there is a very large “T-Shirt that I am going and there is also another T. “Shirt” that I am going to give away.

Friday’s my day to tackle the kitchen table and the pile that has been living on it since Christmas!!! My plan is to sort through the bags, bows and wrapping paper then find a smart location for it to live. I might even eat lunch at that very table ☺️

Love it!! And thanks for the motivation. I bet a lot of people are still dealing with Christmas clutter. 🙂 Good luck! xo, mridu
