Paper Pile Organization

Spread the love

After years of training and practice I can proudly say that I’m not much of a “piler.”  Well, except one it comes to one thing…Papers!

I’m guessing you’re with me on this one. 😉

They’re just not as easy as picking up let’s say, a spoon or a pillow. You know where your spoon is supposed to go and there isn’t too much decision making about that pillow either. But pick up a piece of paper and…back down it goes. Back to your counter or desk or to top off a pile that already exists.

And that’s just the beginning of a never ending loop.

Pick it up. Put it down.

Pick it up. Put it down.

In today’s vid I’m going to tell you about “The Touch Method” and I think it’s really going to help you take some action and get off that endless hamster wheel.

And when you’re done watching here’s what I’d looooove to hear from you:

  • Do you think this method will help you? OR
  • Do you have a good filing system in place? OR
  • Do you have another great paper organization tip you could share?

See how many ways you could serve up your awesomeness? 😉

Your continuous support means the world to me. So I sign off today with much gratitude and as always, wishing you a happy and peaceful week.

Xo,
Mridu

P.S. If you’re so over the clutter and random stuff in your home, (I mean, who isn’t??),  take two minutes to check out my new 7-day workshop, Decluttering Diva. It’s a total game changer!

Great idea, Rearview!! I use post-it notes for my file labels and rarely do they fall off. That way, I can recycle the file folders and peel off the label and stick another one on it. I also like to use only the first-tabbed position one and invert the third-tabbed position one to make it a first b/c my eyes aren’t jumping all over the place when I look for a certain folder. Plus, I don’t have to worry about messing up the staggered placement when using all 3 positions. I only use the middle-tabbed folder when I’ve run out of the other folders or for papers I save, but don’t access very often.

Yup! It’s so good to “see” you here and hear all of your great tips! 🙂

Diane, this is such an awesome tip…thank you so much sharing it with everyone. In fact, I think I see a video on this in my future. 😉 I do my files the exact same way. Keep everything to the left for the same reasons you said. Fantastic! Thanks again, xo mridu

Love this! Thanks for sharing your wisdom and your humor with us Rhythm!! You crack me up! But I love the folder idea and YES I think it will help. I had recently started folders for all sorts of things that I wanted to save and put away but not for the stacks of current things on my desk so starting now!

Mridu

Awesome Lauryn! I really do hope it helps. Thanks for your support! love, Rhythm ;))
