Secrets Of The Real Organization Junkie!

Spread the love

You’re in for a treat today!

I’m doing things a little differently around here this week. You get to hear from the original OrgJunkie herself, Laura Wittman.

And if you’re not familiar with Laura, then you really don’t want to miss out on today’s insider scoop with her.

Laura and I talk all things organization….and then some. Here’s a sneak peek of just a little of what you’re gonna learn:

  • how Laura’s closet office changed her whole life
  • the difference between simplifying and organizing
  • how Laura got her daughter menu planning at college (whaaaat??)
  • why anyone can learn to be organized

You’ll be able to tell I’m a bit giddy in this vid. Laura’s been an organizing crush of mine for a while and I know after watching, you’ll be hooked too.

Sit back, relax, grab a cup of tea and enjoy!

And of course, don’t be shy to let me know what resonated with you most, in the comments below.

To fun and friends!

Xoxo,
Mridu

I immediately put the large clear plastic bin, I hesitated to donate, under the entrance table as my Donation Station. When friends come in I can get them to load it in my car to take to the drive-in donation area. I’m unsure if Laura was nervous but I found the constant laughing irritating – nothing funny about what she was laughing at. Still I would watch because the ideas are great. Mridu I love the side by side videoing. As usual THANK YOU!

You’re so welcome Dominique! I’m excited about doing other interviews with people I admire, from time to time. I’m so happy you took immediate action. YOU ROCK! I think you’ll find your donation bin very helpful. Thanks for your support sweet friend, xo, mridu

I loved the reminder that tweaking does not mean I failed the first try around. I sometimes feel that way when something does not work out as I thought it would. Thanks for the reminder. Not sure I would not sort my wash. I would always sort out my husband’s farm clothes as I am really alergic to poison ivy etc and it may be on his clothes if he has been out in the field. I touch those clothes as little as I possibly have to. Without the kids at home, sorting for two is not as big a deal. I like the setting out the menu and recipes on the counter. I have been trying to figure out a way to get my husband a bit more involved now that he retired from his 9-5 job, so maybe with seeing the recipes, if I am busy quilting for my customers, maybe that way he could start helping if he comes in early from the farm.

I loved that reminder too. I forget myself how much iterations of a system it takes me to get things to run smoothly. Forget beating yourself up about it. Put that energy towards tweaking your system to get it to work. 🙂 And the clothes…yes…that can be a big jump. Not for everyone — but works for me. 🙂 Thanks so much for your message Kay. And good luck with getting help with cooking. I like the idea of leaving out the recipes. Subliminal messages. LOL! xo, mridu

I too have never sorted my laundry and never told anyone, I think for me it came from living in an apartment with paid laundry and not having enough coins, but then it became a habit because it worked. I also use vinegar which also works for pet smells and losening pet hair from your clothes as well as a color guard.

Oh, so you’re out of the closet too!! LOL! There must be more of us out there than we know. We’re such rebels! 😉 Thanks for sharing Angela. XO, m

I loved your video today. I do sort the laundry but sometimes it’s like a mountain. I haven’t been menu planning in a while and I have in the past and know it works. I think I’ll resume that very good habit and throw all the clothes in the wash together to make friends. Thanks for all the good advice and for sharing a new organizing friend . J

Awesome Jamie!! Thrilled you got so much out of it. It was a lot of fun for me to do! And I’ve fallen off menu planning so many times — but when I start it again — it’s a life changer. Excited for you to get on it again too. 🙂 xo, mridu
