What Morocco taught me about discipline (and it’s not what you think)

We just returned from a beautiful trip to Morocco—it was breathtaking.

But what moved me the most wasn’t the architecture, the food, or the colors (though those were amazing).

It was the discipline I witnessed during Ramadan.

From sunrise to sunset—no food, no water, no coffee.

Yet, people carried on their day with patience, warmth, and presence.

It was such a powerful reminder:

Discipline isn’t just about routines and checklists––but purposeful choices.

It’s choosing values over comfort.

Intentionality over impulse.

And doing it with grace.

That kind of discipline?

It’s not rigid. It’s empowering.

Where in your life could you bring that kind of purposeful discipline?

You don’t need to overhaul everything.

Just one intentional choice today could shift your entire week.

You’ve got this.
