It’s that one.
That email…or paper pile…or insurance issue…or return…or conversation…that needs to happen but you keep putting off.
You don’t feel like starting it.
You certainly don’t feel like dealing with it.
I have good news and bad news.
First the good.
There’s a really simple trick to getting motivated. **Yay!**
Now the bad.
The trick is to take a tiny action. **Oh my!**
Yup, when it comes to doing things we don’t want to do, action precedes motivation.
Hear me loud and clear sister.
You can’t wait around for motivation.
Unfortunately, you’ll be waiting a long time to pick up those weights, plan your meals, deal with your taxes, or organize your closet.
Motivation comes and goes.
If you wait for it you’ll have a dozen more procrastinated tasks/projects piled up which stretches your motivation really thin.
And keeps you perpetually overwhelmed and behind.
Ditch the thought that you’ll magically feel like doing something you don’t want to do.
Instead, take an action.
Grab the file. Put on your sneakers. Dial the number. Start the email.
Do. Something. Small.
You’re a grown woman. You can do this.
Because one little action leads to…
Wait for it…
Another little action.
Before you know, even if you’ve gone kicking and screaming, motivation magically appears without you waiting around.
Which means you’re the boss of motivation. The crusher of procrastination. The master of the universe.
Okay, eeeeeasy now.
My point is when you’re in the driver seat taking action, instead of the passenger side waiting for circumstances and motivation to happen to you, you step into your power.
Which is why I dare you.
Take an action on something you don’t feel like doing.
Right now.
Don’t overthink, just do.
You’re in control of what you do and when you do it.
Are you up for the challenge?
