Know what I want for you?
I want you to be dripping in confidence.
Because in case no one has told you lately, you are freakin’ awesome.
Not just on the surface, kinda awesome.
But deep down to your cellular level, you’re a loving, brilliant, courageous awesome.
Which is why I have lots of wants for you.
I want you to stop feeling scattered.
I want you to stop giving in to the needs and demands of everyone else.
I want you to take a bold yet loving stand on your time, on your terms.
I want you to feel confident that you’ll get the right things done.
I want you to feel like an amazing role model.
I want you to know that your contribution makes a difference.
I want you to feel appreciated and valued.
I’m guessing you want that too?
But maybe you’re like, “Yeah, but I just need someone to tell me how to do it.”
I will do that for you right now.
I will tell you what to do…and I hope you’ll do it.
Put up one new boundary today.
It’s the #1 thing between saying what you want and getting what you want.
Here are some starter ideas:
- You can say “sorry, I’m busy” to your friend who asks you for a last-minute favor.
- You can email a prospect to let them know you’re fully booked right now but would love to start working with them in two weeks.
- You can say “No thank you” to the parent group that asks if you’re interested in joining a committee.
- You can ask your spouse to handle dinner this week.
- You can let your kids know that you’re available all evening but you’re also unavailable after 9pm.
- You can start your first meeting at 9am (instead of 8:15) so you can workout and be energized for the day.
- You can request your partner to stop scrolling on their phone at night if that disrupts your sleep.
- You can let your mother-in-law know that you appreciate her thinking of you, but no, you do not need or have room for, any more of her china or knick-knacks.
- You can put your phone on Do Not Disturb for the entire morning so you can focus.
- You can decline the Zoom invitation so you can make progress on your more-pressing goals.
So what’s it gonna be?
Shoot me a reply with the boundary you’ll put in place pronto… ahora…now…soon, before you procrastinate doing it. (You know it will happen).
You can do this.
You must do this…so you can turn all those “I wants” into “I am’s.”
Want to get control of your life?
I offer a free consult and I think you should take me up on it.
You’ll tell me what’s stressing you out and keeping you up at night.
And I’ll say something like: “here’s exactly what will help you get through this.”
You’ll leave our call with clarity. Then you’ll decide if you want more. That’s it.
