Mother Nature is having some serious mood swings. Yesterday it was 87 degrees and sunny, pouring rain all night, and this morning I had to pull out my socks and sweaters. So if you’re switching from flip flops to rain boots as often as I am here’s a quickie tip on what to do with those wet shoes.
Create a baking sheet boot tray. Rectangular baking sheets make perfect homes for wet shoes and boots. The pans move easily in and out of cubbyholes, (where kids might store theirs), avoiding any stains and smears on your furniture or floors. The best part is that once the shoes are dry, the pans can be washed (most can go in the dishwasher) and replaced.
Below on the left is a fancy boot tray from Williams-Sonoma. But if you’re a frugal mcdougal like me, you can create your own. 🙂 Wishing you a dry, happy and productive weekend!
