How To Remember The Wine (Or Jeans) That You Love

Spread the love

Here’s a little tip that may come in handy this weekend. If you’re a wine fan like myself you may find yourself really liking a bottle at a friends place or at a restaurant. And you think to yourself that you have to remember this one so you can buy it later.

And then you say the name to yourself a few times to remember it like,”Sebastion Cab 2008, Sebastion Cab 2008.” Or you stare intently at the bottle so you can recognize it the next time you go to the wine store.  And what happens? You get to the store and you have no idea what the name was or what the bottle looked like and wished you had just written it down. Does this story sound a little too familiar? Next time, try this.

Take out your phone and take a close up picture of the wine bottle label. It works great! At my last trip to The Wine Shoppe, I simply showed my photo to Josh and thirty seconds later he brought me my bottle.

Of course this can be applied to any other drinks. Or restaurants you pass by that you think “I have to try this place.” Snap a photo of its awning. Or for a brand of food you don’t want to forget in the grocery store. Or a pair of jeans you want to shop around for later.  Think of your camera phone as that photographic memory you wished you had.

So don’t limit your pics to just friends and family.(Although I am feeling a little guilty I didn’t capture my son the first time he rode without training wheels, but that I did get a pic of a great wine from dinner that same night. Hmmm…time to rethink my priorities? :))
