The Organization Truth You Need To Hear

Spread the love

Is it cliche to thank you today? (Just before Thanksgiving).

Perhaps.

But I like to think that gratitude is something I show throughout the year.

Grateful for a heated home, hot water, accessible food, great friends, loving family and a incredibly supportive community of Lifers. (That would be YOU!)

But of course there are special occasions when you focus on appreciation more than other days. Like Thanksgiving.

Surrounded by your family combined an abundance of food and fondness, makes the day feel extra special.

Which leads me into today’s video on how to keep items in your life feel special too. You might be telling yourself you can’t get rid of some items because they’re too special to you.

But the truth is, everything can’t be special because that would mean every single thing you owned would be exceptional, unusual, remarkable or unique.

And, well, I’m just not buying it. πŸ˜‰

I can’t wait for you to watch this short vid so you see exactly what I mean.

And when you’re done watching, I’d love to know where you can create some specialness where it doesn’t truly exist. Where can you pare down, so your less – is more?

Can’t wait to hear your brilliance over in the comments.

And to you, your family and your loved ones, Happy Thanksgiving!

With heartfelt love and appreciation for you, Mridu

Amen Sister , I have chosen my 3 things, they weren’t just similar they were identical. I’m not sure who needs 4 swingline hole punches but I had them. Sadly I think I bought them because I couldn’t find one (because they had no home) . One does now and the other three went up for adoption. Now my hole punch lives in harmony with the stapler and tape dispenser. Thanks for the truth sprinkled with a little humor, it’s the best way to learn a lesson.

LOL! Jamie, you are too funny. I love that your hole punches were given up for adoption. I hope they find a new home soon. πŸ™‚ Great job in taking instant action! xo, mridu

The china collection comment in the video hit home. Yesterday I cleaned out my china cabinet be because it wad so chock full of “special” pieces that I couldn’t hardly get to any of it without it being a major deal! You are right- it can’t all be special and what good is it if I can’t to any of it. So I eliminated a lot of unmatched stuff and voila -I can actually get to my china easily to use it. Thanks for helping eliminate the guilt of holding on.
