3 Simple Ways To Not Get Sidetracked

Spread the love

Do you ever feel like you’re pulled in ten different directions?

Between email, errands, family, work, social media, social engagements and never ending projects, it’s seems impossible to just stay focused.

My secret?

A simple two-step process:
1) Break things down into little bitty steps and then

2) Dedicate just twenty minutes at a time to getting one of those steps done

In my fantasy world, I have hours, even days at time to work on my garage, plan my summer or pour over my photo collection.

In my reality world, that’s never gonna happen.

But committing to short blocks of time to organize one corner of the garage, sign up for one camp or work on two pages of my photo book – is where I can really make a dent.

So now you know that one way to stay focused and get stuff done is to work in short blocks of time.

Check out today’s video to see my otherย two easy ideasย to help you stay focused too.

And for this weeks challenge, please commit to ONE of the three ideas. Let me know which one sounds most doable to you, in the comments below.

And thanks for staying focused on this weeks tip my sweet friend. ๐Ÿ™‚

Wishing you many happy days ahead,
Mridu

I just watched this and started laughing. I am sitting at my desk, have a pile of laundry to be ironed draped across the chair, work piled up on my work surface, the tv on…

This is the second time this week I’ve heard Pomodoro mentioned. I think it is something I _need_ to look into.

It’s funny because you could just use your phone timer and set it for 20 minutes but Pomodoro just makes it more fun. ๐Ÿ™‚ It ticks (if you want it to) and then rings after 20 minutes so you it makes you feel like you’ve really accomplished something. Check it out! ๐Ÿ™‚ xo, mridu

Even piling all that stuff up in a corner (and dealing with it later of course ๐Ÿ˜‰ – should really help. It’s amazing what visual stimulus does to our brain and engagement levels! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for sharing Celeste. xo, Mridu
