Top 5 Tips To Do Laundry

Spread the love

I spent the morning with one of my “star” clients yesterday.  What makes her a star? She gets it. She gets delegation.

We worked on organizing a list of everything she could delegate.

Like what chores she could put in place for her kids.

Like what responsibilities she could outsource including cleaning her house or getting her lawn done.

Like what her husband could help out with on a weekly basis.

We even made a list of what her friends (who are always offering to help) could do – like set up a carpool for their kids or potluck a Sunday dinner.

It’s amazing how much we could delegate and how much we don’t. I’m definitely guilty of this in my home and business.

It’s the control thing that gets in the way, you know?

Like you know how everything works best in your home, so you’d rather just do things yourself than let someone else at it, (and mess it up).

Or you know your kids best, so why ask someone else to help out when they don’t understand them as well.

Or it takes so long to train someone else stuff that you already know, so you may as well do it yourself.

So what ends up happening? You take on everything!

What does this all have to do with this weeks video on organizing your laundry?

The last of the five tips is about delegation. So listen closely…

And when you’re done watching, please let me know in the comments below and let me know which tip you’re going to put into action this week.

Thank you my dear friend for watching and sharing my weekly dose of motivation.

Remember, every small step you take is a one step closer to living happier. You rock girl!

I love the confirmation of having kids put away their own laundry. I had been resisting that when a friend told me that’s what she does with her daughter. Now I am going to implement it. One thing I am concerned about though is often their drawers are too full so it takes a special way to make them fit. Guess I need to get rid of some of their clothes.

Great! I actually have a lot to catch up on too since we were away for vacay. Threw in a load this morning and will put another one in tonight. 🙂

I have to admit, my kids drawers are a total mess! And it drives me crazy because I fold their clothes so nicely and then they just shove everything in and pull stuff out randomly. But I just try to bite my tongue and remember that at least they are learning they have to put their stuff away. 🙂 Thanks for your message PJ!

I love your videos!!! I’m so glad I found you.

One thing I’ve never seen on the internet and know not everyone knows as my older sister didn’t is that you shouldn’t put fabric softener in your towels and dishcloths as it makes them less water absorbent. Just thought I’d throw in that hint…. Keep up the good work!

Andrea, I’m so glad you found me too! 🙂 Thank you so much for your message.

I’ve never heard the fabric softener tip but that totally makes sense. Thanks so much for sharing. “See” you again next week. 🙂 xo, mridu
